Setting Up Connections

Learn how to connect your Google, Slack, and other accounts to Kindgi using OAuth. Once linked, every agent you build can use those connections automatically.

01

Spot the Connect badges

When you create an agent, Kindgi figures out which apps are needed. Steps that require an app you haven't connected yet show an orange Connect badge. The Connections counter in the toolbar (e.g. 0/2) tells you how many are still missing. Open any agent in Studio and look for orange Connect badges on the steps.

02

Start the connection

Click any orange Connect badge to begin. The badge changes to a Connecting... spinner while Kindgi opens the sign-in flow in a new tab. Click an orange Connect badge to start the OAuth flow.

The badge shows a loading spinner while the sign-in window opens
03

Sign in with your account

A Google (or other provider) sign-in window appears. Pick the account you want to use and click Continue. Kindgi uses OAuth — you never share passwords or API keys with us. Select your account and click Continue.

04

Grant access

Review the permissions the app needs and click Continue. Kindgi only requests the access your agents actually use — for example, Google Sheets access to read your spreadsheets, or Calendar access to create events. Review the permissions, then click Continue.

You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account or the Kindgi Connections page.

Select which account to use

Back in Studio, the badge changes to Select Account. Click it to open the Change Connection dialog. Here you can pick from accounts you've already connected or add a new one. This is what makes Kindgi flexible — each step in your workflow can use a different account for the same app. Click the badge → choose your account → click Select.

Need to read from one Google account and write to another? Just assign different accounts to different steps.

You can connect additional accounts at any time from the Connections page in the sidebar.

06

Connect one app at a time

After selecting your account, that step's badge turns green and the Connections counter updates (e.g. 1/2). Repeat the same process for each remaining orange badge — click it, sign in, grant access, and select your account. Repeat for each orange badge until the counter is full.

07

All connections ready

Once every badge is green and the counter shows the full count (e.g. 2/2), your agent is fully connected and ready to run. You can now switch to the Test tab to try it out. Check that all badges are green, then head to the Test tab.

All green, all connected — your agent is ready

Manage connections from the dashboard

You can also manage all your connections from the Connections page in the sidebar. Here you can see every app you've connected, add new accounts for the same app with + Add, remove old accounts, and check if any connections have expired and need to be reconnected. Click Connections in the left sidebar to open the management page.

Each app shows how many steps and agents are using it.

Expired connections show a warning — click to reconnect.

Use + Add to connect a second account for the same app (e.g. two different Google accounts).
